Vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Arcandra Tahar and the United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Indonesia Mohamed Abdulla Mohammed Bin Mutleq Alghafli today witnessed the signing of the project development agreement between PT PJB and MASDAR. This signing is a follow up of the MoU between PT PJB and MASDAR dated July 16, 2017 on the Development of Renewable Large Scale Power Projects in the Republic of Indonesia in Abu Dhabi, United Emirate Arab.


 

"I am pleased with this cooperation, which is a follow-up to the previous MoU.This project will make the first floating PLTS(Solar Power Plant) in Indonesia, besides is expected to generate electricity tariff under the local Cost of Provision (BPP), for West Java below 6.5 cent USD / KWh, because if the above BPP will be difficult to run "said Vice Minister of EMR, Arcandra Tahar

 

The project developed is a 200 MW Floating Photovoltaic Solar Power Plant in Cirata reservoir owned by PT PJB, for Feasibility and Grid interconnection study was completed at the end of September 2017, and has been submitted to PT PLN (Persero) and planned the implementation of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) as soon as possible .

 

"This project is the largest for similar projects, with an area of ​​200 HA prepared in Cirata, with good business to business, the project also accelerates for the development of Renewable Energy (EBT) and strengthens cooperation between Indonesia and United Emirate Arab." said President Director of PT PJB, Iwan Agung Firstantara.

 

This is also confirmed by the Chief Executive Officer of MASDAR, Mohammed Al Ramahi Solar Floating Photovoltaic power plant project is not only the largest in Indonesia will also be the largest in the world.
