Support Investment Development, 32 Regulations of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MESDM) Revoked

In order to support investment development, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) again simplified the regulation. The 32 regulations of the ESDM sector are revoked, scattered in the oil and gas subsectors (migas), mineral and coal (minerba), electricity, renewable energy and energy conservation (EBTKE) as well as regulations on the Special Unit for Upstream Oil and Gas (SKK Migas).

 

"As per the direction of Mr. President, we should try to encourage investment for economic growth and better work field.One directive is to reduce licensing, reduce regulations that are considered to encourage business activities and investment is getting better," said ESDM Minister Ignasius Jonan at the press conference of ESDM Sector Regulation Arrangement at the ESDM Ministry Office on Monday (5/2).

 

Jonan said, of the total 32 regulation deleted, the details are as follows. A total of 11 regulations from oil and gas, 4 regulation of electricity, 7 on minerba, 7 EBTKE and 3 regulation on SKK Migas. "Many  licenses under it,  base on those  rules will be removed," the minister continued.

 

This will continue to be done, said Jonan, a week or two will be reduced again, so the longer the business activities (in the sector ESDM) is getting better, "he explained.

 

The following details of the regulation are removed from each EMR subsector.

MIGAS ( Oil and Gas)

1.Regulation of Minister of Mines and Energy (Permentamben ) No. 02/1975 concerning Safety at Distribution Pipes as well as Completeness Facilities for Oil and Gas Transportation Outside the Working Areas of Oil and Gas Mining;

2.Minister of  Energy and Mineral Resources (MESDM) Decree No. 1454 K / 30 / MEM / 2000 on Technical Guidelines for Administration of Governmental Duties in the Oil and Gas Sector;

7. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (MESDM) Regulation No. 22/2008 on Types of Upstream Oil and Gas Business Costs that Non-Refundable to a Cooperation Contract Contractor;
